Yoga Therapy session is a one on one, client -centered session that combines meditation, breath work, assisted and supported yoga postures and compassionate dialogue. This non-prescriptive approach allows clients to explore sensations and emotions through their bodies in a non-judgmental setting. Clients often gain greater mental and emotional clarity around significant life issues, release tension in their bodies and gain a sense of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. No prior yoga experience is necessary. The most profound changes happen from the inside out. On the session one can learn how to be aware of the physical and emotional senses. It is an experiential and introspective process that allows clients to explore the connection between what’s happening in their bodies and what’s happening in their life. With practice we realize that mindfulness can break the cycle of fear and anger. I encourage you to discover your inner-power and cultivate peace and happiness.
Bessel Van der Kolk conducted the first clinical study about yoga and its impact on trauma-healing. It turned out to be more effective to treat PTSD than any other medication which is in use in Western societies. Yoga truly helps to improve the functioning of a traumatized individual.
